sehr geehrte damen und herren,
nach meinem 6 wöchigen thailandaufenthalt letztes jahr bin ich sehr
beeindruckt von ihrem land. besonders der norden (pai etc.) hat es mir
angetan.
da ich in meinem wirtschaftsstudium gerne ein auslandssemester einbauen
würde, wäre ich sehr an einem studienplatz an der universität in bankok

hallo
ich bin thailand-fan und war schon 3 mal dort. einige sprachkenntnisse habe
ich mir per buch angeeignet. gibt es vielleicht einen kurs auf CD-ROM oder
diskette? ich denke am pc laesst es sich ein bisschen komfortabler lernen.

vielen Dank für Deine Antwort. Ich hätte gern schon eher geantwortet, aber
Cs baut in München gerade einen neuen schnelleren Einwahlknoten auf und
deswegen konnte ich erst heute die Post lesen und antworten. Vor einigen
Jahren war ich in Thailand und auch in Wangsapung und nun plane ich eine
weitere Reise dorthin. Ich habe dort damals einige sehr nette Leute
kennengelernt und habe leider keine Adresse mehr. Der Name des Bekannten
hiess : Ngoh Rengsomboon und er arbeitete damals in einer Spedition namens
"Saha Loei Transport Ltd". Vielleicht weisst Du Rat, wie ich ihn erreichen
könnte (FAX, E-Mail oder Adresse)?
Dein Absender deutet auf Chiang Mai hin. Gibt es eigentlich noch "Lindas
Guest House"?
War damals auch dort und hatte eine gute Zeit.
Würde mich über Antwort sehr freuen.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
beim Stöbern im Internet-Reisemarkt traf ich auf Ihre Ko Samui-Seite. Vor
ca. 6 Jahren hatte auch ich Ko Samui besucht. Leider fanden zu dem
Zeitpunkt noch sehr viele Bautätigen auf der ganzen Insel statt. Da ich
Ko Samui gerne wieder mal besuchen möchte, würde es mich interessieren,
ob man Ko Samui mittlerweile direkt anfliegen kann oder ob man noch über
Bangkok fliegen muss und ob die Bauvorhaben mittlerweile abgeschlossen
sind.

I am researching asian elephants for a multicultural curriculum for
young children (2 5 years old) here in the US. I would like to be as
authentic in the information that I introduce to the children. My
questions are two-fold such as how do asian elephants exist in
Thailand?--are they free to roam in certain parts? Also, what would
be the best information to tell young children about asian elephants

Travel in Bangkok.
Hello,
I am interested in doing a self travel around Bangkok. I wish to
explore Bangkok by myself, but due to language barrier I afraid I may
encounter problem when getting directions or moving around. Is there a
solution to this problem cos I would not want to follow the fixed
schedule and program from the tour group.
On the other hand, I would like to purchase a detail roadmap of central
bangkok, is it available in Singapore? I need a map (or street
directory) which have detail roads and streets of Bangkok coz I am
looking for some specific roads and shops within Watprayakrai in
Bangkok.
If this such detail map or street directory is not available in
Singapore, can I buy it by oversea purchase order from Thailand?

Sawadee! I was just looking around to see what kind of information
was available concerning Udon Thani and northern Thailand. I will be
visiting the Kingdom in April and May and was trying to educate myself
the best I could before my trip. I was stationed at Udorn Air Force
Base 25 years ago and will be visiting my friend Ron Sell whom was
there also. Ron now teaches in one of the universities in Udon Thani.

I was reading a article in the Bangkok post today and they mentioned a
"rai" as a form of measurment....do you know what that is equivilent in
US measurment? I live in Arizona USA and we measure land in squair
feet, or acres, etc.... Boy we learn things every day don't we.
Was cold last night in Arizona down to 24 degrees, but we will have a
pretty nice day up to 65.....

at Malmoe Academy of Music. My plans for this summer are to go to
Thailand, with my two friends who will work at Amari Rincome Hotel. The
reason why I'm writing to You is that I also would like to have a job
during my time there.
I have experience in working at restaurants and hotels. I have also
been working with kids in kindergardens and at camps.
I speak english, german, spanish, and fairly good Thai.

Cambodian Calendars, old and new
My daughter is marrying a young man from Cambodia who says he
doesn't know his real birthday because the Calendar system in Cambodia
changed and he doesn't know the relationship between the old calendar
system and the new one in Cambodia or the relationship between the old
calendar system and our calendar system.
I don't know anything about the Calendar systems in Cambodia but I
would sure appreciate any help you could send me. It would be nice to
be able to find out when his birthday is in our calendar system. His
whole family has the same problem.

My fantasy is to live near a beach, but my budget and what I have learned
so far makes me think this might be out of my price range.
I am looking for a warm climate to finish some writing.
Our first choice was Phuket. But people seem to think we can't make it on
a budget of 1000USD for a family of four. When I say near a beach, I met
closer than Chiang Mai which seems to be where people think we can live for
1000 a month.
Do you have any advice?
