GOLF TOURS
CNX501 - NORTHERN GOLF DISCOVERY
DAY 2 CHIANG RAI Drive to Waterford Valley Golf Club,
approx. 50 km to the northeast of the town. Enjoy the golfing
and mountain sceneries. Early afternoon drive back to the hotel.
Time to relax at the hotel’s swimming pool. DAY 3 CHIANG RAI In the morning transfer to Santiburi
Golf Club, just a few km outside of the town. This is an absolute
top class golf course and for most golfers the favorite one in
the north. After playing your round you got the choice: Transfer
back to your hotel or take a half day tour to the Golden Triangle
which also includes a boat trip on the Mekong River with a break
on the Laotian river island Don Sao. Return back to Chiang Rai
via Mae Sai, market- and border town to Myanmar (Burma). DAY 4 CHIANG RAI - CHIANG MAI
Today you will not use your golf clubs.
Drive through picturesque mountain wilderness, passing various
hill tribe villages. Stop at the local market on Doi Maesalong
mountain, where many Chinese goods are available, but also Akha
hill tribe people sell their vegetable and self made handicrafts.
In Thaton lunch break at a resort on the banks of the Kok River.
Visit Wat Thaton and its giant Buddha images, overlooking the
Mae Kok Valley. Go on, stop at the mystic cave and one of the
rare Palong hill tribe villages. Arrive in Chiang Mai early evening
and stay at a hotel in the city center. DAY 5 CHIANG MAI In the morning drive to Chiang Mai-Lamphun Golf Club, approx. 25 km outside Chiang Mai, and enjoy golfing on this picturesque course. Early afternoon transfer back to Chiang Mai. On the way you got the opportunity to visit some local handicraft factories, such as the famous umbrella making, lacquer ware, silver ware, woodcarving etc. DAY 6 CHIANG MAI
Play another round of golf and you have
the choice between Green Valley Golf Club and Royal Chiang Mai
Golf Club. Both are top and challenging courses. In the afternoon
transfer back to the hotel or do some more sightseeing in the
northern capital, for example visit the landmark of this city,
Doi Suthep mountain temple. Our vehicle/driver and guide are
ready to serve you. DAY 7 CHIANG MAI Day at leisure until transfer to the
airport, or extend your stay in Chiang Mai. If time allows, you
can take an optional tour in the morning, which includes an elephant
ride and a lazy trip down the river on a bamboo raft. PRICE INCLUDES:
Air-conditioned transportation, all
transfers and tours mentioned in the above itinerary, English
speaking tour guide, green fees, caddie fees, accommodation in
first class or upper middle class hotels (your choice) with daily
breakfast buffet, 1x dinner, entrance fees. NOT INCLUDED: All meals not mentioned in above
itinerary, drinks, tips and personal expenses. FLEXIBILITY: Itinerary can be done v. v. with
start in Chiang Mai and end in Chiang Rai.
